About BargainHive

A curator, not a tester.

BargainHive is a small, independent product-recommendation site in development. We don't conduct hands-on testing. Instead, we save you the work of comparing across many sources by curating the best buying advice from expert review sites, manufacturer specifications, and verified user ratings — with every source clearly cited, so you can verify or dive deeper.

How we work

  1. We aggregate, we don't test. Our recommendations are based on what trusted expert reviewers (publications, YouTubers, specialist sites) have already concluded, combined with manufacturer specs and aggregated user ratings.
  2. We cite our sources. Every claim we make about a product links to where it came from. If we say a product has best-in-class noise cancellation, you can click through to who said that.
  3. We curate by published criteria. Each category will have a published rubric for how we weigh things (price, features, durability, brand reliability, etc.) — applied consistently regardless of which products offer affiliate revenue.
  4. We disclose every commercial relationship. Every page that contains an affiliate link will say so above the fold. See our full disclosure.
  5. We update. When prices, models, or rankings change, we'll update the page and bump the "last updated" date.

The team

BargainHive is currently a solo project. We don't have a full editorial team or field reviewers — we're a small operation focused on doing curation well, not pretending to be a magazine.

How we'll make money

BargainHive will be reader-supported via affiliate commissions. When you buy through our links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We may also run a small number of display ads on long-form guides where they don't interfere with the editorial. We do not and will not accept paid placements or sponsored "best of" rankings. Affiliate revenue affects which retailers we link to, not which products we recommend. For the full breakdown of which networks we participate in (or plan to), see our disclosure page.
