Affiliate & advertising disclosure

What this site is
BargainHive is a product-recommendation site that does not conduct independent hands-on testing. Our content is built from publicly available sources: manufacturer specifications, expert reviews from established review publications, verified user ratings, and price data. Every claim we make about a product cites its source so you can verify it directly.
Affiliate links
BargainHive will participate in affiliate programs operated by retailers and affiliate networks. When you click an affiliate link on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. The commission is paid by the merchant — you do not pay more as a result.
Affiliate links on our site are marked with rel="sponsored" and
a clear, in-context disclosure. As we sign up for specific affiliate programs,
we will list them here.
Networks we currently participate in: none yet — this list will be updated as programs are joined.
Amazon Associate disclosure (will apply once joined)
The following standard disclosure language will appear on Amazon-linked pages once we participate in the Amazon Associates program: "As an Amazon Associate, BargainHive earns from qualifying purchases."
Display advertising
We may use Google AdSense to serve display ads on a subset of our pages once we activate it. Ad placements will be clearly labeled "Advertisement" and kept visually distinct from editorial content, navigation, and our own affiliate calls-to-action.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to obtain consent for personalized advertising before any personalized ads are served. For visitors in U.S. states with applicable privacy laws (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, etc.), we honor opt-out signals including the Global Privacy Control (GPC).
How commissions affect our coverage
They don't.
- We do not accept payment for placement, ranking, or favorable coverage.
- We do not give merchants advance review of our coverage in exchange for affiliate participation.
- Our scoring and ranking criteria will be published per category and applied consistently regardless of whether a product offers affiliate revenue.
- If a merchant offers no affiliate program, that does not affect whether we recommend their product — though we may not be able to link to them.
Sponsored content
We do not publish sponsored articles, sponsored "best of" lists, or paid-for-placement content. If we ever did, it would be labeled "Sponsored" at the very top of the page in unmistakable language — and would not be incorporated into our ranking content.
Your rights
You can choose not to click affiliate links. You can choose to disable personalized ads via your browser, your device settings, or the consent controls on this site. You can read our privacy policy for details on data we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights to access, deletion, or opt-out where applicable.
